New Subscriber Error

clock November 24, 2009 14:22 by author Phone Tracker

As is with Beta there are bugs.  That is the unfortunate nature of the beast. :(

New subscribers were not being processed correctly due to a bug.  To correct this you need to…

1. Cancel the subscription in PayPal.

2. Re-subscribe (through the subscribe button on your Private Page)

3. MOST IMPORTANT: Send us an email at info@cellstalker.com telling us that you were previously a subscriber.

We need step 3 done so that we can be sure to refund you your money from the first subscription.

The error was due to an Item Number problem.  PayPal does not allow you to change this.  If anybody knows of a better subscription processor give me a shout!  There may be a free subscription in it for you. :)

Cell Tracker Subscription

clock November 19, 2009 11:13 by author Phone Tracker

We are very close to leaving Beta behind us and submitting to the app catalog.

However, to keep the server load where it should be most features have been moved to “Subscriber Only”.

For free, you can still update your status regularly and see where your phone is currently.  However if you want history, view multiple points at once you will need to subscribe for $1.99 a month.

If you subscribe now, contact us and we’ll send you a non-expiring version of the software.

Subscribers will soon get…

  • Ability to export your data – View in a spreadsheet or import anywhere.
  • Change your Public Key – No more cryptic keys for your friends.
  • Webservice Integration – Techies will love this.
  • Accuracy Filtering.

The timeline for these features all depend on subscriber demand.

New Features

clock October 28, 2009 10:05 by author Phone Tracker

We just made a MAJOR update to the website. Screenshots are below.

One thing that you need to know is that this new functionality ONLY applies when you use your “Private” key.  Your private key is your password.  You should no longer be sharing it with anybody.  Your “Public” key is what you should be sharing.  Currently, when you enter your public key, you only see the current location of the person.

  1. Lookup a Previous Day – You can look up ANY day that your phone has reported.
  2. Lookup a specific time of day – Even more detail, select the specific time of any previous day.
  3. Number of points, now you can select between 1 and 15 points. Remember, hold your mouse arrow over any point to see the time of that point.
  4. Show Path, you can low choose to show or hide the path between the markers.

Coming Soon

  1. Change your public key to something specific.
  2. Name your maps. Show a custom blurb on your map.
  3. Clear your history (delete old data points)
  4. Export your history (export your GPS time and locations to a spreadsheet)

Coming After That

  1. Facebook Maps
  2. Twittter Updates

Better Pre Maps

clock October 1, 2009 15:10 by author Phone Tracker

Cell Stalker now has better Maps on the Pre as well as it not having any Ads.

Previously if you looked at your map, or somebody elses, from your phone’s web browser it showed a lot of content that didn’t necessarily apply to you.

Now, if the website detects that you are viewing the website from a Palm Phone, then it removes a lot of the clutter.  The end result is a bigger map that you don’t need to zoom in/out to view.

The website has again been updated.  This time the Cell Phone finder website has MAJOR functionality added.

NOTE: YOU DO NOT NEED TO UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE

The website now shows the last 10 locations and the path you took between them.  Also if you hold your mouse cursor over any point, It will tell you the time and GPS location of that update.

Bigger Map

clock September 22, 2009 11:40 by author Phone Tracker

We have tweaked the website a little.  Most notably, the map is larger!  It should scale to the size of your screen.

We also changed the layout a little bit as well.

Things should be easier on your eyes.

Thanks for being patient, while we are very skilled with programming, our graphic design skills are sub-par for sure.
